The Tea Shoppe by Josie Adams[audiobook/40min],
narrated by Nicola Barber

Today (2024, July 16) I finished the audiobook  The Tea Shoppe by Josie Adams, narrated by Nicola Barber. The story follows Eleanor, a tea shop owner in an English village, and her routine of opening up the shop. The audiobook is 40 minutes long. I’ve listened to the story before, but this is the first time I was able to listen to it in its entirety.

As mentioned above, the story follows Eleanor opening her tea shop. It’s established she had the same routine for it in the last 8 years of owning the shop. While the story is simple, it’s very descriptive.

My favorite part of the story is when she gets Malaysia Chai because it’s described as a journey to India and I like that. There’s a moment where she’s relaxing by a fire with a cat and it’s very cozy to hear.

While the story is dry and nothing of note really happens, it’s very relaxing to hear thanks to Nicola. I’d recommend this audiobook to people who either want a simple story to fall asleep to or want something playing while they’re busy. Keep in mind this is an audible-exclusive. I’d give this story a 3.5/5.
